Explore diverse forms of Indonesian folklore, including: dongengan (fairytales), nyanyian (songs), wayang (theater), and tarian (dance). Engage with Indonesia’s history in relation to the cultural significance of folklore. We will devote a large portion of our exploration to tactile experience of Indonesian folklore and learn from community members who will share their knowledge in various ways. We will collaborative create and perform puppet shows, music, art, dance, and story.
